Sichenje Set for Charlton Debut with New No. 28 Shirt

Kenyan centre-back Collins Sichenje will don Charlton Athletic’s No. 28 shirt and could make his English Championship debut as early as February 2026 after completing his move from Serbian side FK Vojvodina on 2 February 2026.
The 22-year-old Harambee Stars defender, known for his physical presence and composure, arrives in southeast London in a deal reported around €1.9 million, becoming the first Kenyan to sign for the historic club. “I’m excited for this challenge and ready to prove myself in the Championship,” Sichenje said as he settled in with the Addicks.
Manager Nathan Jones welcomed the arrival, saying the Kenyan’s versatility and aerial strength will bolster Charlton’s fight to stay clear of relegation. “He adds competition and quality at the back,” Jones added.
Sichenje’s rise from local Kenyan football through Sweden and Serbia to English football highlights his steady development and growing profile in European leagues.
