Rising Stars’ Amos Wanjala Targets Impact After Valencia Move

Rising Stars midfielder Amos Wanjala has set ambitious targets after completing his move to Spanish side Valencia CF, vowing to make the step up count as he begins a new chapter in Europe. The 18-year-old joined Valencia this week after impressing at youth level with Kenya’s U20 side.
Wanjala said the move is a challenge he is ready to embrace. “This is the moment I have been working for. It’s time to deliver and prove myself,” he said. “Valencia believe in my potential, and I want to repay that trust.”
The midfielder was a key figure for Rising Stars during the CECAFA U20 Championship, where he featured in all matches and helped Kenya reach the latter stages of the tournament. His performances attracted interest from several European clubs before Valencia secured his signature.
Rising Stars head coach Salim Babu backed the youngster to succeed. “Amos is disciplined and fearless. This move didn’t come by luck,” he said. “If he stays focused, he can go far.”
Wanjala added that adapting quickly will be crucial. “I know the level is higher, but I’m ready to learn and compete,” he noted.
