Officials clear Talanta seats before AFCON 2027
Concerns over the quality of seating at Nairobi’s Talanta Stadium have been brushed aside by Kenyan officials, who say the arena remains on track for AFCON 2027.
The response follows online claims suggesting problems with newly installed seats at the 60,000-capacity ground. Project managers conducted fresh checks and insisted everything meets the required specifications. “There is nothing wrong with the seating,” a senior official said. “The installation complies fully with standards.”
An independent construction consultant noted that viral images can be misleading without technical context.
