Odemba Names Harambee Starlets WAFCON Squad

Harambee Starlets coach Beldine Odemba unveiled Kenya’s final squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this week, retaining several senior players as the team prepares for the decisive fixtures.
Odemba kept the core of experienced internationals who guided the side through the earlier rounds, blending them with emerging talents to balance stability and energy. The coach said continuity was key ahead of the crucial matches.
“We have maintained the backbone of the team because cohesion is important at this stage,” Odemba stated. “The players understand the task ahead.”
A senior squad member added, “We are ready to fight for the badge and make the country proud.”
Kenya is chasing a return to WAFCON, and the retained big names are expected to provide leadership as the Starlets push for continental qualification.
