Mwalala return sparks Bandari revival in league run

Bandari FC head coach Anthony “Modo” Kimani Mwalala has overseen a sharp upturn in form after returning to the club in late January, with the Dockers picking up vital results in the FKF Premier League at Mbaraki Sports Club.
Bandari have climbed away from the relegation zone after back-to-back wins, conceding just once in their last three matches, a clear contrast to their earlier struggles. Mwalala said belief was key to the turnaround. “The players needed confidence and structure,” he told The Star. “Once they trusted the process, the results followed.”
Club captain Fadhili Saidi praised the impact of the coach’s return, noting that “training intensity and discipline have completely changed.” An opposing coach admitted Bandari are now “more organised and harder to break down.”
Mwalala, who previously led Bandari to a domestic cup title, said the focus remains consistency. “We haven’t achieved anything yet,” he added. “The aim is to stabilise and keep climbing.”
