Muguna urges Gor Mahia to modernise player unveilings

Harambee Stars midfielder Kenneth Muguna has criticised Gor Mahia over how the club unveils new signings, urging the Kenyan giants to adopt a more professional and modern approach. Speaking this week, the former Gor Mahia player said the current style fails to excite fans.

Muguna pointed to rivals Tusker FC as an example to follow. “Player unveilings should have style and fanfare,” he said, adding that clubs must “market their signings better.”

The midfielder stressed that presentation matters in modern football. “Fans want to feel involved and excited,” Muguna noted, arguing that casual announcements undermine a club’s image.

A local football analyst agreed, saying, “Professional unveilings boost engagement and commercial value.”

Gor Mahia, Kenya’s 21-time league champions, have recently signed several players, but Muguna believes improved presentation would better reflect the club’s stature.
