Mariga Faction Given D-Day to Prove Due Process in FKF Suspension Row

The clock is ticking for McDonald Mariga. FIFA has ordered the faction he leads to produce documentation by end of business Friday proving that FKF president Hussein Mohammed was suspended through proper procedures.
On April 24, twelve NEC members allied with Mariga voted to suspend Mohammed, along with NEC official Abdullahi Yusuf Ibrahim and Acting General Secretary Dennis Gicheru. The allegation: a Ksh42 million CHAN 2024 insurance contract was awarded to a newly-formed company despite lower bids from established firms.
FIFA wants proof. Specifically: meeting notices, attendance records, vote tallies, and evidence that Mohammed and the accused were given the right to respond before the vote. Under FKF’s own statutes — Articles 38, 40, 41 — that right is mandatory.
If the documents don’t hold up, the entire resolution could be declared void. Mariga’s acting presidency with it.
“The elephant in the house are the documents,” former FKF CEO Lordvick Aduda warned.
Friday tells everything.
