Lookman, Iheanacho, Onyeka — Nigeria’s Weekend Abroad in Review

It was a good weekend to be Nigerian.

Ademola Lookman got on the scoresheet for Atlético Madrid in a 2-2 draw against Real Sociedad on Saturday, continuing his impressive form since joining the Spanish club in February. He played 62 minutes and left his mark.

Kelechi Iheanacho went one better. The Celtic striker came off the bench to score twice in extra-time as his side thrashed St Mirren 6-2 in the Scottish Cup semi-final — booking a place in the final and earning Baller of the Week in the process.

And Frank Onyeka kept Coventry City’s Premier League promotion push alive with another commanding display in midfield. Three Nigerians. Three different countries. One brilliant weekend.
