Kenya’s AIK Star Wilson Hailed as Premier League Talent as Brighton Interest Grows

Stanley Wilson is 19, plays in Sweden, and is being talked about in the same breath as the Premier League. That’s not hype — that’s analysts catching up to what Kenya have known for a while.

The Harambee Stars prospect joined AIK in August 2024 on a three-year deal and has been a regular starter ever since. The numbers are good. But it’s the style of play that’s turning heads.

Analyst Bocsák put it plainly: Wilson is “one of the best progressive passers playing outside Europe’s top five leagues at the moment.” He called him “very gifted technically and so calm under pressure,” adding that he “weighs his passes to perfection.”

Then came the big name. “Someone like Brighton should already be looking at him,” Bocsák said — referencing the club’s reputation for finding and developing exactly this type of player.

Wilson is still on a deal until December 2027. But if his trajectory holds, he won’t be in Sweden for long. Kenya’s pipeline is producing. Brighton, apparently, should take note.
