Kenyan Prospect Chemwor Earns Frankfurt Move After Bayern Munich Exit

Bayern Exit Earns Kenyan Winger Chemwor a Shot at Eintracht Frankfurt
Sadiki Chemwor spent a decade at Bayern Munich. Now, at 18, he is taking his football education somewhere new — and Eintracht Frankfurt believe they have landed one of Germany’s most exciting young wingers.
Chemwor will join Frankfurt’s U21 team on a free transfer from July 1, when his Bayern contract expires. He has been at the Bavarian club since the age of eight — a childhood spent in one of world football’s most demanding academies. This season alone he made 19 appearances, contributing 2 goals and 5 assists.
“Sadiki Chemwor is a highly talented player with excellent football education,” said Timmo Hardung, Frankfurt’s sporting director. “We are firmly convinced he can continue developing his potential at Eintracht Frankfurt.”
He holds German and British citizenship but is eligible for Kenya through his father — and Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy is already watching closely. Chemwor has five caps at German U16 and U17 level, but a switch to Kenya remains on the table ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
The Frankfurt move is the next step. The Kenya question may not be far behind.
