Job Ochieng Nets Winner as Real Sociedad B Beat Huesca 2-1

Job Ochieng scored the winning goal as Real Sociedad B beat Huesca 2-1 in the Spanish Segunda División on Monday.

The Harambee Stars winger put the game to bed in the 56th minute, converting an Astiazaran assist to make it 2-0. A red card for Mikel Rodriguez made the final stretch uncomfortable — Huesca pulled one back in stoppage time — but Sociedad held on.

“The game was a tough one, but the team gave everything,” Ochieng said. “We had to fight until the end and it is important that we got the win we deserved.”

Ninth goal in 25 Segunda División appearances this season. He’d only just returned from a month out — an injury picked up on international duty against Estonia in March.

Real Sociedad move to 16th with 45 points from 39 games. They face Mirandes on Saturday.
