Harambee Stars Defender Vyner Ruled Out of Wrexham’s Stoke Clash With Groin Issue

Zak Vyner will not be at STōK Cae Ras on Saturday. Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson confirmed the Harambee Stars defender has a groin problem that needs scanning Friday — and whatever the results show, Vyner is out of the Stoke City fixture.

“He won’t make the weekend. 100%,” Parkinson said.

It is a blow at a delicate stage. Wrexham are pushing for results in the closing weeks of the season and this is their penultimate home game. Vyner has been a consistent presence at the back.

Matty James is fit. Nathan Broadhead is being assessed with a tight hamstring. Ben Sheaf remains sidelined. Parkinson has options — but Vyner’s absence will be felt.
