Harambee Starlets Climb to 128th in FIFA Rankings After FIFA Series Run

The FIFA Series mattered — and the numbers prove it. Harambee Starlets have climbed five places in the latest FIFA rankings, rising to 128th in the world with 1,104.82 points after their performances at the four-nation tournament in Nairobi.
The 2-0 win over India earned 9.94 points. The 0-2 loss to Australia cost just 0.82. Net gain — and upward movement.
Kenya are now the highest-ranked East African nation, sitting above Tanzania (121st on another metric) and comfortably above Uganda (146th). The timing matters. At WAFCON 2026 in Morocco, Kenya face Morocco, Algeria and Senegal — ranked 62nd, 73rd and 79th respectively. The top four qualify for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.
Progress on the pitch. Progress in the rankings. Odemba’s side are moving in the right direction.
