Clark Posts 17 Points, Eight Assists Despite Halftime Illness in Fever Win
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark finished with 17 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in an 83-71 victory over the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on June 4, 2026, after disclosing to reporters that she had vomited during halftime. “I haven’t puked that much in a really long time,” Clark said, according to ESPN. “But then I felt fine. I felt light.”
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Indiana and moved the Fever to 5-4 on the season. It arrived amid heightened scrutiny of the team following a viral video of a heated sideline exchange between Clark and head coach Stephanie White. Clark said the week prompted collective self-reflection. “A lot of self-reflection from everybody, like look yourself in the mirror and find ways to get better,” she said. “That’s certainly what I did.”
During the game Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to record 150 points and 50 assists in a single season, a record she had also set the previous year under the same benchmark. The performance underlined her continued statistical dominance as a playmaker and scorer through the early portion of the 2026 season.
Clark acknowledged she was losing her voice after the game but said she expected to recover. The Fever are scheduled to face the New York Liberty on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
