Cherono, Falvin steal the show at Marathon Project

Prisca Cherono and P. Falvin powered to victory at The Marathon Project, taking the women’s and men’s titles after timing their moves to perfection in a stacked field. With the pace high from the gun, Cherono stayed patient before kicking away late to win the women’s race, while Falvin stamped his authority in the closing kilometres to secure the men’s crown.
“It was about staying calm and trusting the work,” Cherono said after crossing first. Falvin added, “Once I felt the rhythm, I knew I had to commit and go all-in.” An event official praised the finish, saying the race “delivered the kind of competition athletes come here for—fast, focused and fearless.”
The results underline The Marathon Project’s growing reputation as a proving ground for elite distance runners chasing both titles and top-level performances.
