CAF Lands in Uganda — and the AFCON 2027 Deadline Pressure Is Very Real

August is coming fast.
A high-level CAF delegation touched down in Kampala on April 21, led by Acting General Secretary Samson Adamu. Three days of visits. A summit on April 22-23 pulling in government officials from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. All three co-hosts in one room, with CAF watching.
The August inspection is the line in the sand. Get to operational readiness — or face consequences.
Kenya’s Talanta Stadium is 80% done. Uganda’s Namboole is mid-renovation, targeting 45,000 seats. Tanzania’s Benjamin Mkapa still needs a full pitch rebuild and lighting overhaul to hit 2,500 lux. None of it is finished. All of it needs to be.
The PAMOJA vision was bold when they announced it. Right now, it needs to be fast.
