Aldrine Kibet scores four as Celta U19 crush Roces 6–1

Kenyan forward Aldrine Kibet scored four goals as Celta Vigo U19 thrashed CD Roces 6–1 on Sunday in Spain’s youth league, delivering a stunning performance just days after his team’s cup exit.
The 19-year-old Harambee Stars prospect struck a rapid hat-trick inside the opening 30 minutes to put Celta firmly in control before adding his fourth after the break. His clinical display helped the hosts bounce back emphatically following their recent semifinal elimination.
“It’s always special to help the team win, especially after a difficult week,” Kibet said after the match. “I just focused on taking my chances.”
Kibet has now scored five goals in the last week, continuing a prolific run that includes goals against Atletico Madrid and a brace in Celta’s 3-0 win over SD Compostela earlier this month.
Despite his impressive form, the striker was left out of Kenya’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Series in Kigali. National team coach Benni McCarthy previously handed him a senior call-up in November.
“We know his quality and we continue to monitor his progress,” McCarthy said earlier when discussing young players in the national setup.
