AFCON 2027: Talanta and Samia Stadium Race Takes Shape

Kenya’s Talanta Sports City and Tanzania’s Samia Suluhu Stadium are taking center stage in preparations for AFCON 2027, as East Africa gears up to host the continental showpiece.
Talanta, rising in Nairobi, is planned as a 60,000-seat ultra-modern arena with a bold architectural design aimed at meeting CAF standards. “This stadium reflects our long-term vision for Kenyan football,” an official said.
Meanwhile, the 30,000-capacity Samia Suluhu Stadium in Arusha is at an advanced construction stage, with Tanzanian authorities confident of early completion. “We are on track and ahead of schedule,” a project representative noted.
Both venues are expected to play key roles in delivering a historic AFCON across the region.
